Coo-Coo
(CoolBuzz/Munich)
The Cool Buzz label is a young label thats putting Dutch Blues back on the map. Not only are they the label behind the American vocalist/producer Boyd Small (based in Amsterdam) but they have also released Sweet and Lowdown by Cuban. And now there is this debut of T-99. A fantastic no-nonsense-record with heavy and stomping roots music. Blues, Rhythm 'n Blues and Boogie. Most of the songs have been written by Den Haring, like for instance So Many Times and the successful Evil Eye. Besides that they recorded some classics. The album has been produced by Walter Broes of the Seatsniffers who is featured on several extra instruments. But in the best tradition of great bands like the Paladins T-99 mostly strips down to the bare essentials of a R&B threepiece of guitar, upright bass and drums; showing us thats all it takes! |
