February 2012
After an absence from the live scene for two and a half years we have to conclude that working on other projects feels good. For now it has been decided to postpone all T-99 activities until further notice. Without doubt you will see us back on stage, but we cannot tell you when. For now the band wants to thank everyone for all support and loyalty through the years.

T-99 is appearing in the book “Rock’n’roll Tourist” of the British writer Graham Forbes. In this book the writer travels all over the world to visit concerts of some of his musical heroes. A visit to Amsterdam brings him to ‘Paradiso’ where Dr. John is playing with T-99 as his support act. Forbes, member of ‘The incredible string band’ himself, is so enthusiastic that he includes T-99 in his book and he gives a nice review of the concert. The book is available at the local bookstore and through online booksellers (e.g. www.Amazon.com).

Invited by BBC radio host Mark Lamarr, T-99 will play on the Latitude festival in Southwold, Suffolk (GB) on 18 July. The show will be done in the ‘Film and Music Arena’ hosted and presented by Lamarr himself. The festival goes on for four days, from 16 until 19 July. Last month a 2 page interview with Mischa was published in 'De Gitarist'.

The band just got back from a sucessful tour through France, Italy and Austria. Although they had to struggle through some jinx-moments (a broken van, a lost tooth during a 'fhow', sleeping on the ground with -8 degrees Celcius) it all went great. Especially the Boppin' By The Pool festival in Austria was a great show and it was fun hanging out with the Bastards Sons of Johnny Cash and Smokestack Lightnin'.

It took a little longer than expected but the 10" vinyl's have finally arrived. It's a limited edition of 500 copies which are all hand-numbered. 4 rocking tracks on 120 grams vinyl with a full-color sleeve. You can order the record at your local record store or through the website of Sonic. Don't wait too long...they are going fast...

The song 'Sayonara' has been used in a promo-clip for NOS Studio Sport just recently.

Unfortunately the tour with the International Roots Circus has been postponed to a later to determine period.

September
Howdy, friends and neighbors! After a short vacation in August we're back and proud to announce the release of our new album 'Cherrystone Park'! This joyfull event will be celebrated in Paradiso Amsterdam on Friday September 30th, as part of the anniversary party of our record label 'Sonic Rendezvous' and our booking agency 'Belmont Bookings'. As we told you earlier, this album was produced again by Teddy Morgan and was recorded at the Ylandstudio with Evert Kaatee. The 13 brandnew songs vary from garage bluesboogies to horny midsummernight ballads and contain only one cover this time. But what a cover!...
On Friday September 16th T-99 will perform exclusively at the 'Roadrunners Paradise' club in Berlin during the 'Popkomm'. This is one of the biggest music business platforms in the world and is attended by trade visitors and exhibitors from everywhere. To promote this a compilation CD has been made by Conamus with practically all the Dutch bands that play in Berlin during that weekend (read more about this in the july section). The T-99 song that was selected is 'Cold Rolled Steel', which you can listen to on this here site! Click here and you can hear a sample of 'Hayfever' too. If you want to hear more, come to our little party and buy the CD (or order it online at www.sonic.nl).

This month a lot to tell you dear friends...The recordings for the upcoming album are finished and the tracks are in Nashville, TN at the moment and will be mastered any moment now by the famous Richard Dodd. The release will be in September. We are not gonna reveal what we have created yet but it will raise some sand, that's for sure! We just got back from a very exciting tour in France. And before that we did two shows as a support for the legendary Dr. John. Those were killer shows! Meeting the Dr. was a big thrill and we had a lot of fun. The shows with Teddy Morgan were a big succes as well, thanks to all who came out to see us play. Some nice pictures can be seen at the websites of Klaas Guchelaar and Daniel Theunynck. Working with Teddy on the new album was amazing. An overview can be found here.
A lot of great things are coming up as well: A track from our upcoming CD will be featured on the compilation promo-CD 'Neue Hollandische Welle' in a quantity of 18.000 copies. These CD's will only appear in Germany; as a give-away for musicmagazine 'Visions' as promotion for the Popkomm-show in Berlin in September. There are a lot of shows coming up around the release. We will keep you posted.

June
Hi ya'll, we thought we'd drop you a line from the frontline; we're in the middle of the recording sessions for our 3d upcoming album. And let us tell you, it's becoming a great album! Stranger things can happen for sure! Working with Teddy Morgan is just as exciting as last time. By the way, come out and see us play with him on one or more of the shows that are stated in the Netherlands and Belgium. Talking about shows: we're asked to do support for Dr. John at Paradiso at the end of this month. Dr. John is one of our heroes so we are looking forward to that one. By the way a real cool party will be a few days later on the 30th when we will honour our good friend, engineer and CoolBuzz-labelowner Evert Kaatee with a farewellparty. He's leaving for Uganda, Africa you see...:-(. Under the title 'Island Slim Is Leaving The Building' we play together with our good friends The Seatsniffers and The Strikes at Wilhelmina in Amsterdam. There is also good news for US-customers: 'Strange Things Happen' can be purchased at CDBaby now. More news is coming up...now we have to get back behind the mics to finish up the recordings...Later!

April
At the moment we are busy writing new material for the upcoming album. This new record, which will come out in September this year will be released at Sonic Rendezvous; the same recordlabel who signed for our latest album 'Strange Things Happen'. We cannot wait to go into the studio with Teddy (Morgan) again. And also the mini-tour with him definitely will be great. After this we will go to France for a little tour and we are happy that we are back on the Parade this year again in Rotterdam, Den Haag and Amsterdam. Oh, and by the way, because of the fact that so many of you begged our ears off for the legendary 'Sign'-logo T-shirts we have decided to reprint them. For now they are only for sale at one of our shows. We hope to see you there soon!

March
Our tour through the south of Germany was more than a great success. We met a whole bunch of new friends and fans. We had a great time being in Germany and want to thank everyone who came out to see our shows. A big thank you to all the good people who helped us and made us feel at home; Uwe & the Prangles, Jesse, Michaël, Peter and especially Lefty who made all of this possible. Thanks guys, we hope to see you again real soon!

December
Although it has been a bit quiet for a while at this section of the our website it doesn't mean we are sitting on our butts. No, not at all. We have been busy with the first ideas for a new album, we have been playing a lot of shows of course and did a lot of promotional work. Next year the meaning of the 'T' in T-99 will stand for touring. Coming weekend we will visit Switzerland for a few shows, February we will be touring in the South of Germany if everything goes like plan and in July we will be in France again. Among other shows we will attend the Cahors Bluesfestival for 2 shows.

September

CoolBuzz recently released a Bluesharp-album titled Driving Savage Groove. Harpsuckers like Big Dave, Guy Forsyth, Renaud Lesire, Big Pete and many others made contributions. Donné plays on the album with his other band the Harmony Two Tones and Mischa can be heard on songs with Big Dave, Guy Forsyth and Kim Snelten. You can read more about the album here.

We have found a booking-agent for the French region. From now on Swapping Music represents us in France.

Mischa will be part of the Night Of The Blues orchestra and will be touring through Holland next October and November. Among others Long John Hunter will be one of the headliners.

We're just back from an overwhelming tour in France. After two days at the beachclub Chez Dan in Contis we've played four days at the famous Blues Passions Festival in Cognac. We've met a lot of friends and fans and the atmosphere was exciting and relaxed. Our hotel turned out to be a Cognac-farm, so you can understand we had to taste the good stuff. Our neighbour was a Swiss journalist who enjoyed our late night parties too (not), so our reputation in Switzerland will be really good. At the festival we have jammed a couple of times with our good friends Stincky Lou & The Goon Mat. They will launch a new record soon, you better keep an eye out for this most charming and boogying band from the EU.

June
After our shows together with the phenomenable Hackensaw Boys there's a plan to tour together through the USA in the near future. To be continued... Other news: an interview with Mischa at KindaMuzik.

January 2004
We have a new label! Our new record will be released by Sonic Rendezvous. Although we are very satisfied with the cooperation with Cool Buzz, this transfer will give us more opportunities for selling records outside the Benelux and overseas. Hereby we would like to thank Evert and Boyd at Cool Buzz for their trust, believe, support and input over the last three years.

Tuscon tour

Hi y'all, we're just back from an exciting and overwhelming trip from Tucson, Arizona. Together with Teddy Morgan we have finished our album there. And it sounds absolutely fantastic if we may say so. The title will be 'Strange Things Happen'. Besides the already taped contributions of Dave Gonzalez a bunch of mighty fine Tucson musicians played on some of the tracks: Jimmy Carr (vibes), Neil Harry (pedal steel) and Gary Mackender (accordion) (thanks guys!). We also did some nice shows in Tucson. Photos will be put on our pics section soon. Thanks to Teddy and Gwen Morgan, Richard Medek and the NPI who made this trip possible.

December 2003

July 2003
The recordings for the next album will take place in September and October.
Teddy Morgan is going to produce the album. Besides being a great musician, Teddy produced great CD's for Cathy Rivers, Randy Weeks and others. We're looking forward to the cooperation.

June 2003
Mischa and Thijs have decided to go their separate musical ways after three hard-rocking years of sharing stages, dressingrooms, vans, hotelrooms and then some. May 2003
Watch out for the next Cool Buzz Rhythm & Roots Party on June 11th in Paradiso. On the bill, apart from T-99, are Boyd Small 4 plus 1 (featuring Marc Thijs, Jasper Mortier and G.V. Reit) and The Wild Specialties.

T-99 has got a new drummer! Henk decided to leave the band recently but we have found a good replacement in the person of Martin de Ruiter. Martin is a great drummer and used to play with a.o. The Blue Band, The Gravediggers and The Wild Berrys.

October 2002
We had a great time touring with Roscoe Chenier and Joost Tazelaar of Drippin' Honey, clocking in at just under 9.000 kilometres in a little over two weeks. Roscoe is without any doubt one of the nicest human beings on the planet, and he's got a killer voice so be sure to check him out if you can.

September 2002
'Coo-Coo' is available in the US through www.pacificblues.com

August 2002
Plans are being made for recording a new album. The estimated date of release is somewhere late 2003.
